Geocache Description:

*** NOT A MYSTERY - JUST FOLLOW THE REFLECTORS! ***

Sheepleas is a 250 acre wildlife reserve owned by Surrey County Council and managed on their behalf by the Surrey Wildlife Trust. This night cache has been placed with their very kind permission.
Some of the woodland here is considered 'ancient semi-natural' and is over 400 years old. Due to it's biodiversity Sheepleas has been designated a Site of Special Scientific interest by Natural England.

This night cache is best started at dusk, when the reflectors will shine and there are many animals about. While marking the trail I've seen badgers, rabbits, foxes, deer and bats - and heard a lot of owls.

Please stick to the paths - the trail is very well marked and you shouldn't get lost.

During winter months the trail may appear to be a little 'too' well marked, but as the trail is over 2 miles in length I'd prefer people to be able to complete it than get stuck half way.

Decent footwear is recommended as some bits may be muddy and there is also an elevation change to deal with - but nothing the average walker or mountain biker couldn't take in their stride.

Sheepleas is the home of Surrey's Coronation Meadow, celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

There is a car park at the start (and near the end) of the trail - and congratulations to Waspbuster, Nomad and Darcy for their FTF.

Thank you again to Surrey Wildlife Trust for allowing this trail and to their volunteers whose hard work maintains the paths, meadows and woodland here.
