This cache is a tribute to a man who was just one of many early German settlers into this area. Their descendants are prevalent throughout the region and many still maintain farms for food production. Their efforts over the last 150 years are much valued and deserve recognition.
At the listed co-ordinates you will find a monument erected by his family in 2003 and an information plaque adjacent, at the site of their property where Gottfried and his family settled in 1866.
Using the information on the monument the final cache location can be calculated.
Gottfried was born AB.C.DEFG and died HJ.KL.MNPQ.

The cache is a 200ml Sistema container with room for a logbook and pencil only.
