Geocache Description:

If you walk up the road a short way, you will see a piece of artwork titled
Power Pipe
by Chris Trotter in 2008

Chris Trotter’s work is whimsical and interactive, using recycled materials to reference the ‘making do’ aspect of Australian cultural tradition. Through careful selection and composition of materials, the artist transforms inert metals into forms with character and personality. Each work is constructed using discarded materials, which have their own unique history. The recycled valves and tapering water pipes commonly used in fire station equipment take on a new life in this whimsical flowing artwork.
