Il sistema stradale romano già nei primi secoli della Res Publica correva lungo la penisola e consentiva agli eserciti consolari di spostarsi verso le prime province conquistate, come ad esempio la Sicilia e la Gallia Cisalpina. Al momento della massima espansione dell'Impero la rete viaria romana misurava oltre 80.000 chilometri, ripartiti fra 24 strade che si irradiavano da Roma verso l'Italia e altre che toccavano tutti i territori dell'Impero, dalla Britannia alla Mesopotamia, dalle Colonne d'Ercole al Mar Caspio.
The Roman road network spread the Italic peninsula already during the Republican age so that legions were able to move from Rome to the first conquered provinces, as for instance, to Sicily and Cisalpine Gaul. At the top of the empire's expansion, the road system was over 80,000 km long, based on 24 roads irradiating from Rome to all the territories, spreading from Britain to Mesopotamia, from Hercules'pillars to the Caspian Sea.
La Laurentina è una delle antiche strade romane che presenta un tracciato ancora ambiguo e controverso, vista lesiguità dei resti (tratti di basolato, monumenti funerari, pietre miliari, ecc.) e le evidenze dalle foto aeree che ne individuino il percorso: la maggior parte degli studiosi concorda sul fatto che seguisse lattuale asse della Pontina/Via di Pratica di Mare mentre altri pensano alla moderna Laurentina o alla Via di Trigoria. Anche la sua destinazione rimane incerta: Laurentum o Lavinium, sempre ammesso che queste due città fossero distinte tra loro.
The Laurentina is one of the ancient Roman roads where it is still being discussed, where it originally was. Based on indications (road remains, funerary monuments, landmarks, etc.) or aerial photos that identify the path, most scholars agree that it followed the current track of the Via Pontina /Via Pratica di Mare. While others think it is under the modern Via Laurentina or Via di Trigoria. Even its destination remains uncertain: Laurentum or Lavinium, assuming that these were two different cities.

Se vuoi fai riferimento agli appunti di questo listing e/o degli altri della serie Supra Vestigia Veterum; se la via/uscita ha le due caratteristiche cercate includila quindi nel tuo elenco. Ricordati di includere al primo posto la Via Laurentina.
The first step is to create a list of fourteen Roman roads: starting from the current coordinates and then proceeding clockwise along the Grande Raccordo Anulare (G.R.A. – the Rome beltway); when you encounter an exit from the G.R.A., consider if the corresponding road leaving Rome:
a) is a State or Provincial Road according to the current Italian road naming system;
b) if it is part of the roads of the Cursus Publicus, meaning the roads from the Supra Vestigia Veterum collection (with its current name and another original name).
If you wish, refer to the notes of this listing and/or others from the Supra Vestigia Veterum series; if the road/exit meets both criteria, include it in your list. Remember to include Via Laurentina at the top of the list.

Take the book number from Ovid's Metamorphoses, where there is mention of a city that is also the last one you found in your list created in the previous step; where Cibele transforms Aeneas' ships into nymphs and the death of the king is described. Add 24 to this number and you get BETA.

Nelle intenzioni dei Romani una di queste strade trovate nella lista ottenuta al passo IV, lasciata Roma, doveva raggiungere una città ma tale progetto fu abbandonato a favore di un altro percorso: prendi l’anno di fondazione di questa città. Togli 118 a questo numero e trova DELTA.
In the intentions of the Romans, one of these roads found in the list obtained in step IV, leaving Rome, was supposed to reach a city, but this project was abandoned in favor of another route. Take the year of foundation of this city. Subtract 118 from this number and you'll find DELTA.
