Geocache Description:

This cache was placed on Mother's day and is dedicated to my mother, Joyce Watson, who enjoyed our impromptu bbq and devonshire tea experience on Mother's Day 2013. We always try to celebrate occasions by finding a beautiful area of the river to picnic beside. This one is a favourite. The beautiful Paradise and Wattle Tree Beaches are nearby.

This is the second cache we have placed but the first in our home area. The cache is accessible by foot, pedal or car and is a 1.5 litre systema container. We have placed a Mother's day present for the first to find and also included an award winning teen novel. We would love if the family theme was continued for the life of the cache with a swappable for a parent [mum or dad] or a book for a child. Please don't take the book if you haven't got another book to replace it with. When replacing the book could you make note of the title in your log so that the 'reading list' of the cache can be tracked. The child's activity book can be taken without a replacement.

To find the cache you need to answer the following questions.

A: How many letters in the name of the river that you are looking at?
B: Looking North along the river in which direction [left or right] does the bend turn? Count the number of letters in your answer
C: What is the name of the closest town? Count the number of letters in your answer
D: How many letters in my mother's name?

The cache is located at

S 35 55.3[D-C-1][D-B-A] E 145 41.[C-B]8[D-B-A]

This is not a mathematical equation, just substitute the answers to the questions then deduce the numbers in the brackets to gain your coordinates.

i had to average the coordinates as the GPS was somewhat unreliable due to massive tree cover but it should take you within 5m of the cache.

Be careful wandering through here. Look out for snakes and prickles [but also remember to look up to see the koalas!] The cache is located near another possible picnic area. Make sure you hide the cache well as the lid is definitely not a camouflage colour!

I have included a trackable in memory of Purple Dreamer. Although i never met Purple Dreamer, l have enjoyed discovering many of her amazing caches.

Have fun!
