Geocache Description:

This cache was set up for the event
Mega 2013 - Night Time Hunting for Hobbits

This cache has been placed to commemorate J R R Tolkien's link with the Lickey Hills.

J R R Tolkien lived in Kings Heath, Birmingham from 1895.
Soon after, in 1896, he moved to Sarehole (now in Hall Green), then a Worcestershire village, later annexed to Birmingham.
He enjoyed exploring Sarehole Mill and Moseley Bog and the Clent, Malvern and Lickey Hills, which would later inspire scenes in his books.

The listed coordinates are for the start of the cache, for which you will be following multi-coloured reflective markers.

Make your way to the trailhead waypoint below, and then follow the white cross reflectors (Also Waypoints below) which will lead you to the start of the multi-coloured reflectors.

Along the trail, you will come to two white reflectors, at this point you have a decision to make!

From that point you will be able to see three sets of reflectors (Red, Blue & Green) in three different directions, you have to decide which colour to follow to lead you the correct way.

Once you have picked the right colour you will then be following multi-coloured markers again.

When you see Yellow markers, this is where the cache is.

This is an elevation profile of the complete walk.
