Geocache Description:

Published coord are good place to park and start the tour.

A field puzzle that will take you around Govenor Printz park as you learn about the first European Settlement in Pennsylvania. There are 7 very close historical signs/historical plaques/statues that your will need to visit. Don't worry, they are all within about 200 feet!

The first European colony on the Delaware River was Nya Sverige, or as we would say New Sweden. The first colonization effort was at Kristina starting in 1638. When the royal govenor arrived in 1648 he settled at the site of this cache, that is now Govenor Printz Park.

As you proceed from the historical marker (Ref 1), then along the paved path (go counterclockwise) that takes you to the historical plaques, and finally to the statue of Govenor Printz you should learn all about the colony.

The final is located at: N 39° 5A.BCD and W 75° 1E.FGH
