Can you paddle to an island and find a small Lock and Lock? I hope so because it's a nice quiet ride.
If you park at Mill Pointe Park, you can rent kayaks or bring your own canoe/kayak. Then, it is a short paddle to this cache, and its sister cache (which you would have already passed to get to this one). Watch out for bugs, poison ivy, and thorns. But, don't be scared off, a true adventure needs some obstacles.
Recommended to make landing on the east branch again (right side of the island), as the west branch (left of the island) is blocked again.
