Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the plantigrade series. They are designed to be completed in conjunction with the multi-cache Plantigrade but it is cool if you just want to do this one.

The cache is a simple micro located on a bridge that crosses a creek.

The small creek that flows beneath this bridge gathers it's waters from the gullys around Emerald Lake Park. Once the water passes under this bridge it flows through the nearby Wrights Forest where it meets a few other unnamed creeks and ultimately forms Cockatoo Creek. Cockatoo Creek flows north and meets Shepherd's Creek in Nangana and all this water flows into the Woori Yallock Creek in Yellingbo. The water continues to travel north and meets Wattle Creek in Seville East before flowing under the Warburton Hwy where it meets the Wandin-Yallock Creek and continues travelling north until all this water drains into the Yarra River in the Warramate Reserve. This water continues travelling as far north as Yarra Glen before turning around and heading back south west towards the city. Sounds like a great adventure for this little stream under this bridge!

Watch out for snakes. Do not attempt on days of extreme bushfire risk.
