Welcome to the adventure! I have completed this walk on several occasions and always enjoy it, so I have placed this multi as well as a few other caches along the way to give others some incentive to come out and enjoy it too. If you are going to do this cache in the way it was intended (by foot) then be aware that you will be trekking in excess of 50kms. It involves finding 20 different waypoint containers. Each container contains the co-ordinates to the next container and a hint to help you find it. There are no difficult questions to answer, just take note of where you are expected to go next. There are also some fine traditional caches at places along this walk and I have placed some of my own to highlight certain areas.
Other Traditional Caches within the Plantigrade series that you can pick up along the way are...
Allan Latter Bridge
A'vard Picnic Ground
Cache On A Stick
Emerald Diggings Picnic Ground
Follow The Stream
Happy Creek
Hollow Tree
Jumps Track
Mossy Rocks
Mossy Tree
Mud
Out On A Limb
Single Lane Bridge
The Old Cottage Garden
The Old Creek Bed
Walking The Dog
Off To The Yarra
There is also a series of Unknown Plantigrade Caches that are named after local identities and places of the hills. The co-ordinates for these caches can only be found within some of the physical waypoints of this cache. The Unknown Caches in the Plantigrade series are...
Clematis
Simcox
Nobelius
Kirkpatrick
Owen
Storrie
Wright

Do not attempt this cache on days of extreme bushfire risk and be aware that in the winter the tracks get VERY muddy and VERY slippery. You should make sure your mobile phone is fully charged as you can expect to get coverage at all point along the track.
To walk this cache is not for the faint hearted. Make sure you are physically capable of walking this distance. To be safe I would suggest doing this as a team. Be aware of snakes in summer and expect to get leeches in the wetter months.
Pack sensibly and I suggest you include the following amongst your kit. Mobile Phone, GPSr (well doh), small torch, plenty of spare batteries, insect repellent, salt (for removing leeches), a pen, plenty of food and water, medical kit that includes bandages, sensible clothing for the season and good sturdy walking boots.
The hint is my mobile number, if you're having any troubles, send me a text.
