The Illawarra Upper Escarpment Trail - Challenge
The cache is at the listed coordinates, it is a challenge cache so please read through the description to see what is required.
Paulyman and Snorris had a great time placing the caches for The Illawarra Upper Escarpment Trail. The trail highlights the beauty and diversity of the flora and fauna of the Illawarra. While travelling to and from the trail on the many visits we had to make while setting up the trail, it became apparent the construction of the Princes Motorway would have been an arduous task. The motorway travels from the lower escarpment right onto and along the upper escarpment, and it winds it's way between some extremely steep terrain and dense temperate rainforest.
This challenge cache has two aims:
- Ensure that you complete the 17 caches along The Illawarra Upper Escarpment Trail as well as completing Who Broke Who's Nose.Thereby giving you the chance to experience all that the Illawarra has to offer, (aside from actually getting in the surf, you will see it though).
- Ensure that you complete Toona Ciliata, thereby giving you the chance to experience just what the terrain and forest would have been like for those constructing the Princes Motorway.
Once you have completed the 19 caches required and logged your finds, you will have satisfied the requirements for this challenge and will be able to log a find (cache owners excepted from logging their own caches). Any logs that are found to not meet the requirements will be deleted. Also it goes without saying that finds on any of the 19 caches made before the placement of this challenge cache count and that Paulyman and Snorris satisfy the requirements of this challenge.
Finally please be mindful that the challenge cache itself is only terrain 2, Toona Ciliata is most definitely not.
