Geocache Description:

This small L&L container is located in the Moose Mountain Mini Cave due East of the popular Moose Mountain Ice Cave. WARNING: Travel to this geocache and the mini cave is for experienced scramblers only. There is routefinding, exposed scrambling, scrambling on slabs and loose rocks. I've rated it 4.5* terrain for a reason!

*** Note: GPSr reception is very poor in this area due to the cliffs. Add this to the challenging terrain and this becomes a 4.5* difficulty. Print spoiler pictures beforehand so you can find the cache easier if you wish! ***

Here is my recommended approach to this cache: First, make your way to the main Moose Mountain Ice Cave following the trail. Visit this link for more details on reaching the ice cave. Once at the base of the ice cave, head East along the cliffside, crossing a small gully. Continue along the cliffside and scramble up slabs until you see a distinct bonsai-like tree (see image gallery). Once at this tree, you must perform some exposed scrambling moves to reach the base of the cave. Near the entrance to the cave you will find this cache.

You should bring a helmet along with you. I ran into 2 mountain goats during my trip and they could have been above me kicking rocks down!
