Geocache Description:

It's been a couple years since my original "Mob near the Middle of Nowhere" event. And it's been over a year since I last hosted any kind of event, so it's time to dust off my event host hat.

Saturday May 16th 8:00 a.m.-8:30 a.m.

This will be a simple, early morning meet and greet. Come on out and enjoy the company of your fellow cachers before spending the day caching VanBuren/Cass County areas. I'll have a snack of some sort, I'm not exactly sure what it will be.

Note: DO NOT Park along M-51! Take Mills Street north next to McDonalds off M-51 one block, then turn left (west) on St.Marys Street, and go the parking area for the park.

At the close of the event, I will be doing a full day of kayaking on the Dowagiac River. I will be doing a long-overdue maintenance run on BOTH sets of Dowagiac River Kayak Caches: Creek Series & River SeriesAnyone who wishes to join is welcome. Bring your kayaks/canoes if you have them. Going with guarantees you get all 70 caches, as I'll likely be replacing all of them. Plus, you get to see sights such as the famous "wreck of the sunken canoe" and a cool train bridge. You'll also hear how spots like "Addham's Snag", "Badger9's River Den", "POMC's Paddle" and "Tom Kat's Folly" got their names. They're all good ones, I promise you! ;)

I have one kayak available for someone to borrow (Provided you don't mind it being pink!) Post in your log if you want to use it, first-come, first-serve.
