The Geocaching Activity Badge was a new badge introduced for Scouts in 2014.
This multi cache will have you scouting about Tullibody for numbers to then lead you to the final location.
A: The Delph Pond
The listed coordinates bring you to the Delph Pond which used to supply water to the Tullis Brothers Tannery that used to stand next to it. The tannery was demolished in 2001 and work started on the site in early 2015 on a new housing development.
On the bottom left hand corner of the information board there is a number written out as a word. This number is A
B: The Coronation Tree
The Coronation Tree was planted to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII
How many words are in the top line of the plaque. Double this number to get B.
C: Robert Dick Memorial Stone
The Robert Dick memorial stone was commissioned by Tullibody History Group to mark the birthplace of this renowned local. It was unveiled in May 2013 by the Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire, the Rt Hon Sir George Reid.
Reading the stone, how many letters are in the 3rd listed occupation. This is C.
D: Tullibody Scout & Guide Hall
This multi cache really had to feature the Scout Hall didn’t it? Tullibody Scout Group runs 3 busy and successful sections. Beavers on a Monday, Scouts on a Tuesday and Cubs on a Wednesday. Both Beavers and Cubs are currently full with a waiting list.
Standing on Newmills, look at the long side of the Scout Hall. How many square windows are to the right of the green door? This will give you D.
E: War Memorial
Tullibody's War memorial stands on a large boulder known locally as 'Samson's Button'. Whilst you are here then check out The Abercromby Pupil, a cache by our local geo buddies, Geo_Bro.
On the left plaque, how many "Sgts" are mentioned? Double this number to give you E.
F: Heritage Centre
The Heritage Centre is run by Tullibody History Group and is open Saturdays 2pm to 4pm March to October.
How many keyholes are in the Heritage Centre door? This is F.
