Your two friends Doc and Dopey have been kidnapped and their ransom is a bucket full of diamonds.
Unfortunately your mining days are long gone and you prefer to go caching rather than working hard in underground tunnels (unless it is ‘Beyond ultraviolet’ or ‘Wow it’s dark in here’).
Also your mining equipment has long been sold on e-bay.
So what to do?
You are time poor, have no money and have no equipment. How are you going to get those diamonds for the release of your friends?
Luckily you know a few shops that sell the right equipment and have also come across some self-generating money trees. So you pack your knapsack and take off for the ancient region of Osmond.
You know it is going to be hard, you know that your little legs will be tested. But it’s the life of your friends that are at stake.
Here are a few more things that may help you on your quest:
The Wherigo was tested on an i-phone only. Please provide feedback if you encounter any issues or see any errors.
You initially only get five minutes to complete your quest.
Time bonuses of 3 minutes can be obtained, but it takes just as long for these to become available again.
Money trees grow 10 coins at a time, but it takes 2.5 minutes for them to regenerate.
Mining equipment costs 20 or 30 coins. Each of the four required items is sold in a separate shop.
If you enter a zone and the re-generation has not taken place yet, you will need to leave the zone and come back until the re-generation is complete.
The countdown clock will show you your game time remaining as well as a status on each of the other timers.
There is a portal which will toggle you between the two playing fields. Each playing field contains 2 stores, a money tree, a time bonus and a mystery zone.
There will be a ‘random’ question you can only answer in the field once you have obtained 4 mining items.
This cache is a real physical challenge and will test your speed, stamina and ability to navigate and strategise. Expect to be running most of the time in order to beat the clock.
