The Flowage Firelane (West Flowage Firelane, Dolly Road and East Flowage Firelane) Park and Grab caches are inspired by the Blue Hills series placed by Team Northwoods. We had such a good time seeking those caches that we wanted to do something similar (though certainly not as ambitious) in the Washburn County Forest.
Most (but not all) of the caches are small silver bison tubes, log only, so bring a writing utensil. In some instances an extraction device may also be helpful. Most (but not all) of the caches are hanging 4 to 8 feet off the ground. Difficulty gets a 3 because these are micros. They are in the woods. The woods are big, the micros are small.
Since the Flowage Firelane caches are of the micro variety please remember to bring your own writing utensil. A log extraction device may also be useful in some cases.
Winter access is pretty much dependent upon road and firelane driveability. These firelanes can be pretty sandy so proceed with caution.
