So Dönerstag doesn't translate to "frozen custard" ... but what is this event all about?
Dönerstag is a German geocaching tradition that started in 2007, when groups of them gathered on an April Thursday at kebab shops. Last year, according to Groundspeak, over 6000 players attended 233 Dönerstag events scattered all over Europe, and this year we get to join in the fun and earn a souvenir by attending an event on Thursday April 13!
For more information, here's the link to the geocaching.com blog explaining more about the souvenir and associated German tradition.
Hope to see you there, earning your souvenir and enjoying a frozen treat if you choose to purchase one! (Frozen custard not required to log attendance at the event and claim your smiley & souvenir!)
