Dönerstag 2017: Danville, VA Event Cache

From the restaurant's name, I'm guessing there won't be any German food, but there is a kielbasa sandwich and maybe even German chocolate cake. It's the souvenir you're after anyway, right? Add good food and good friends and it should be a great lunch!

A table will be reserved from 12:00-2:00. If this is not a good lunch location for the locals, let me know so we can look at other options. As always, order your food when you arrive instead of waiting for the group!

About Dönerstag:

The tradition caught on! These special events are held each year on a Thursday. In German, this makes the name “Dönerstag” a pun: The German word for Thursday is “Donnerstag.” Kebab translates to “Döner.” Last year, over 6000 players attended 233 Dönerstag events. The events were held all over Europe, from Germany and Austria to the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Where will Signal take us next? Who knows, but you can be sure it will certainly be another country with rich geocaching traditions. Stay tuned!
