Eusébio da Silva Ferreira (1942-2014) cresceu e aprendeu a jogar no bairro de Mafalala, na cidade de Lourenço Marques (actualmente Maputo), Moçambique, onde iniciou a sua carreira de jogador.
Chegou a Portugal em Dezembro de 1960 para jogar no Benfica. Vestiu a camisola encarnada quinze épocas e foi internacional português durante mais de uma década. O "Pantera Negra" marcou o futebol nacional e mundial nos anos 60 e foi um dos melhores jogadores da história do desporto-rei.
Eusébio era imprevisível com a bola e um goleador implacável. Dono de um pontapé muito característico, rematava de qualquer zona do campo e marcava golos de todas as formas. Tinha um respeito profundo por adversários, árbitros e adeptos. Tornou-se, pela sua popularidade, símbolo e bandeira de Portugal no mundo.

Eusébio da Silva Ferreira (1942-2014) grew up and learned how to play football in Mafalala, a small neighborhood in the city of Lourenço Marques (currently Maputo) in Mozambique, where is career as a footballer began.
He came to Portugal in December 1960 to play for Benfica. Eusébio wore Benfica's redshirt for fifteen seasons and played for the National Team for over a decade. The"Black Panther" became a milestone of the national and world football in the '60s and was one of the best footballers of all time.
Unpredictable with the ball and a ruthless scorer, Eusébio was the owner of a phenomenal kick, shooting from any place in the field and scoring goals in every imaginable ways. Holding a deep sense of fair-play towards opponents, referees and fans, he became popular as well as a symbol representing Portugal in the world. |

- Tirar uma fotografia sua junto à estátua de Eusébio, demonstrando (opcionalmente e com o maior fair-play) o amor pelo vosso próprio clube. Cachecóis, camisolas, bandeiras, vale tudo. Sejam criativos. Esta foto deve ser anexada ao registo online.
- Encontrar o número de telefone gravado em ambos os lados do bloco de granito junto à estátua e enviá-lo por email para o owner desta geocache.

To log this cache, you must perform both tasks:
- Have your picture taken next to the Eusébio statue, showing (optionally and with a lot of fair-play) how much you love your own squad. Scarfs, jerseys, flags, whatever. Just be creative. This photo must be attached to your log online.
- Find the phone number engraved on both sides of the granite block next to the statue and email it to the geocache owner.
Logs that don't fulfil this requisite or show spoilers will be deleted without further notice. |
