Geocache Description:

Built between 1866 and 1868 by over 8,000 Chinese laborers and long since abandoned, this relic was a primary means of passage through the Sierra Nevada. Enjoy the easy stroll through this virtual time tunnel and soak in the gorilla art along the way. Total hiking distance is 5 miles, (2.5 each way). A flashlight is recommended. Do not attempt this trek if there’s snow.

Logging Requirements

Please choose one of the three options below and email the CO your answer. If you are requesting permission to log for a group, provide a list of those in the party. Any logs submitted without the required email will be deleted.

2. Provide the Elevation at GZ. You must be within 25’ of the correct elevation.

3. At GZ and facing where you came from, how many large boulders are within 10’ of the North vertical wall. Large means, it would take equipment to lift them.
