I love virtual caches, and was thrilled to find out I was graciously chosen to hide one of these ancient lost cache types. Since most virtuals require photos anyway, I figured it was about time for the first ever Geocaching Photo Scavenger Hunt!
How It Works:
Simply go to the posted coordinates, and make your way up / down the boardwalk looking for the items below. Take photos of you/your group and/or your GPS device at as many of the locations as possible and submit them all with your log.
Rules:
1. Each item is worth a different amount of points. YOU MUST ACCUMULATE AT LEAST 1,000 POINTS IN ORDER TO SUBMIT. The minimum number of photos would be four(ex. 300+300+200+200)
2. You must be between Ocean Terrace and the Atlantic Ocean for all photos. :)
3. No items can be used more than once, one photo per item on the list.
4. There is no time frame to complete this, you may come back to this location as many times as needed until you have earned enough points as long as you have the photos to back it up.
No need to message the CO, simply log the find with all of your photos and your total amount of points. I will only contact you if there is a problem. Some areas may require a fee depending on the time of day / year (ex. parking, beach passes during the summer, etc), but there should be more than enough options to get enough points without needing those. Keeping in the theme of Boardwalk Arcade games, the top 10 high scores will be kept below. FYI: When someone hits the highest possible score, I will do my best to add an additional item to keep things interesting. :)

100pts - with a 10'+ tall ice cream cone
100pts - on a bench
100pts - with a giant hot dog man
100pts - by the sky ride lift
100pts - with Betty Boop
200pts - next to a hermit crab
200pts - with a life-sized lighthouse top in the background
200pts - getting a picture with "Zoltar"
200pts - with a cow statue
200pts - RINSING your feet at a foot washing station
200pts - "wearing" a huge sombrero
200pts - with a magician (of the wooden variety)
200pts - with a full-sized castle
300pts - with a live police officer
300pts - with a live lifeguard
400pts - WITH a live seagull
500pts for difficulty (then subtract 400pts out of respect for the locals) - with a LIVE member of the cast of "Jersey Shore" ;)
