Au coeur de la ville de Lac Mégantic a été érigé un Mémorial réalisé en souvenir des 47 victimes de la tragédie ferroviaire survenue le 6 juillet 2013 afin qu'on n'oublie pas ces victimes et cette catastrophe humaine et écologique qui aurait pu être évitée. Cet événement a créé non seulement un trou béant au coeur de la ville mais aussi dans le coeur de tous ces habitant(e)s qui peinent à s'en remettre après 4 ans. Ce Mémorial est sis sur le terrain (ancien petit parc) en face de l'Église Sainte-Agnès.
Je vous propose donc d'aller visiter ce site modeste et discret aux coordonnées suivantes: N45° 34.710 W70° 53.153.
Pour valider votre Found il vous faudra répondre aux questions suivantes:
1- Le Mémorial est essentiellement constitué d'un livre sculpté dans le granit noir sur lequel sont inscrits les noms des victimes décédées. Parmi celles-ci il y a 3 femmes dont le prénom débute par Marie. Quel est le nom complet de ces 3 Marie ?
2- Une étiquette métallique est fixée à la base du Mémorial. Qu'est-il inscrit sur cette étiquette ?
3- L'Église Sainte-Agnès est comme la gardienne de toutes ces victimes. Quelle est l'adresse civique inscrite en haut de la porte principale ?
4- L'Église Sainte-Agnès porte sur sa façade une inscription gravée dans la pierre qui la rend spéciale puisqu'elle fut consacrée le 27 octobre 2013 soit quelques mois après cet événement tragique.
a) En quelle circonstance a-t-elle été consacrée ?
b) Qui a procédé à la consécration de cette église ?
c) Qui était le curé de cette paroisse ?
5- Prenez une photo de vous (visage non obligatoire) avec votre GPS apparent près du lieu où se trouve le Mémorial avec l'église en arrière-plan.

Remembering a nightmare

In the heart of the city of Lac Mégantic a Memorial was set up to commemorate the 47 victims of the railroad tragedy that took place on July 6, 2013 so that we do not forget these victims and this human and ecological disaster that could have been avoided. This event not only created a gaping hole in the very heart of the city but also in the heart of every of its inhabitants who have barely recovered from it 4 years later. The monument is situated at the center of a small park in front of Sainte-Agnès Church.
I suggest that you visit this modest and discreet site at the following coordinates: N45° 34.710 W70° 53.153.
In order to validate your Found you will need to answer the following questions:
1- The monument represents a book sculpted in black granite on which are inscribed the names of the deceased. Three of the women have a name starting with "Marie". What is the full name of these 3 "Marie" ?
2- A metallic label is fixed to the base of the Memorial. What is written on this label ?
3- Sainte-Agnès Church seems like the guardian of these victims. What is its civic address as written on the tag over the main entrance ?
4- There is and inscription carved in the stone façade that makes the Church special because of its consecration on October 27, 2013, only a few months after the tragic event.
a) In what circumstance was it consecrated ?
b) Who proceeded to the consecration ?
c) Who was the parish priest ?
5- Take a photo of yourself with your GPS near the Memorial with the Church in the background. Showing your face is not mandatory.
