Geocache Description:

Downtown Albany is full of interesting things to see and do. The area is rich with history, memorials, plaques, parks, museums. This virtual cache will introduce you to just a few of the many places of interest around the state capitol and State Street.

To receive credit for this virtual cache, go to the 10 places listed and find the appropriate letters which are requested at each location. The letters can then be unscrambled to spell out something historic about the area. You may notice this historic term as you search for letters. When you log the find you must also send the answer to the cache owner. Logs associated with the wrong solution or without solutions will be deleted. Please do not include the solution in your log posting.

The tall buildings may make some of the coordinates bounce a bit. The descriptions at each station are designed to help you.

Street parking in Downtown is free after 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, and all day on weekends and major national holidays.

Warning. Stage 4 is not snow friendly.
