...die Göltzschtalbrücke
Die Göltzschtalbrücke gilt als Wahrzeichen des Vogtlandes.
Die Brücke überspannt das Göltzschtal zwischen den Orten Mylau und Netzschkau auf einer Länge von 574m, bei einer maximalen Höhe von 78m. Sie besteht aus vier Etagen mit 98 Bögen. Damit ist sie die größte Ziegelbrücke der Welt.
Für Ihren Bau wurden ca. 26 Mio. Ziegelsteine verwendet.
Sie trägt den Titel „Historisches Wahrzeichen der Ingenieurbaukunst in Deutschland“ und lockt jedes Jahr rund 60 000 Besucher an.
Die Brücke wurde im Zeitraum von 1846 bis 1851 erbaut und ist die markanteste Steinbogenbrücke der Region. Notwendig wurde diese durch den Bau der Eisenbahnlinie Leipzig – Nürnberg, zur Überführung des Göltzschtals.
Während des Baus waren pro Monat durchschnittlich 770 Arbeiter beschäftigt.
Ca. 1300 Arbeiter mussten während der Bauphase ärztlich behandelt werden, 30 Arbeiter verloren beim Bau ihr Leben. Die Brücke wurde am 15. Juli 1851 feierlich eingeweiht.
Um diesen Cache zu loggen, müsst Ihr folgende Aufgaben erfüllen:
Aufgabe 1:
Besuche die Stationen und sammle die gesuchten Informationen für Aufgabe 2.
Begib Dich zu den Startkoordinaten. Dort findest Du mehrere silberfarbene Schilder. In wie vielen Sprachen erhältst Du dort Informationen?
Anzahl der Sprachen = A
Benutze nun die rechte Treppe und folge dem Weg nach links in Richtung Brücke. Auf dem Weg kommst Du an Tafeln mit Informationen zur Göltzschtalbrücke vorbei.
Schau Dir die genannte Tafel an und ermittle folgende Werte:
Tafel 1: Die Ingenieure
Schau Dir die Tafel an und notiere Dir RW 1804/5/1, RW 1844/3/9, RW 1874/4/1, FD 1810/9/2, FD 1834/4/2, FD 1841/1/1, JAS 1808/6/2, JAS 1845/5/4, JAS 1870/3/7.
Die ermittelten Werte ergeben Wort1.
Tafel 2: Der Brückenbau – der Bau
Auf der Tafel sind 3 Ereignisse zu finden.
Suche diese Ereignisse von oben beginnend auf der Tafel und notiere Dir vom Datum den jeweiligen Tag.
B = Tag Ereignis 1 minus Tag Ereignis 2 minus Tag Ereignis 3
Tafel 3: Baumaterialien
Sucht folgende Textstelle:
„.............eines Ziegels“
Notiert Euch das fehlende Wort. Anschließend verändert Ihr es mit den roten Zahlen, wie folgt:
- 5 / - 4 / - 2 / + 14 / + 2 / + 10 / - 9
Die ermittelten Werte ergeben Wort2.
Folge dem Weg weiter bis unter die Brücke. Dort angekommen, gehe den Pfad nach rechts bis auf den Felsen. Bitte sei vorsichtig, wenn der Felsen nass ist, wird es rutschig.
Wenn Du vom Felsen aus in Richtung Brückenmitte nach oben schaust, siehst Du eine Zahl.
Die Quersumme der Zahl ist C.
Aufgabe 2:
Setze die ermittelten Werte in die folgende E-Mail Adresse ein.

Schreibe Deinen GC Nick in die Betreffzeile und sende die Mail ab. Sollten alle Werte richtig sein, erhältst Du eine Antwort. Achtung, manchmal dauert die Antwort 1-2min und bei manchen E-Mail-Anbietern bzw. Programmen kann es vorkommen, dass die Antwort-Mail als Spam gefiltert und in den entsprechenden Ordner verschoben wird.
Aufgabe 3:
Gehe zu N 50° 37.400 E 012° 14.786 und mache dort ein individuelles Foto von Dir, Deinem GPS-Gerät oder einem sonstigen Gegenstand, mit der Göltzschtalbrücke im Hintergrund.
Schön wäre es, wenn Du vor Ort etwas kreativ wirst und auf dem Foto eine Brücke „baust". Dazu könntest Du persönliche Dinge oder Sachen, die Du vor Ort findest, nutzen.
Natürlich ist es auch möglich sich körperlich etwas zu betätigen und eine „menschliche Brücke“ allein oder mit Freunden zu bauen. (Der "Bau" einer Brücke ist natürllich optional und keine Logbedingung.)
Sollte der Ort durch eine Veranstaltung belegt sein, such Dir in der Nähe einen anderen geeigneten Platz für Dein Foto.

The "Göltzschtalbrücke" is considered to be an emblem of the Vogtland.
The bridge spans the river "Göltzsch" between the towns of Mylau and Netzschkau on a length of 574m at a maximum height of 78m. It consists of four floors with 98 arches.
This makes it the largest brick bridge in the world. About 26 million bricks were used for their construction.
It is the title of "Historic Landmark of engineering architecture in Germany" and attracts around 60 000 visitors each year. The bridge was built in the period from 1846 to 1851 and is the most striking stone arch bridge of the region.
This was necessary by the construction of the Leipzig – Nuremberg railway line for the transfer over the "Göltzschtal".
During the construction, an average of 770 workers were employed per month.
About 1300 workers had to be treated with medical treatment during the construction phase, 30 workers lost their lives. The bridge was solemnly inaugurated on July 15th, 1851.

At least you have to follow the path, until you`re under the bridge. Go right until you are on the rock. Be careful, if the rock is wet. On the rock, look up in direction to the middle of the bridge, there you`ll see a number.

Use your collected informations and write an e-mail

Go to N 50° 37.400 E 012° 14.786 and take an individual photo of you, your GPS or other things, with the "Göltzschtalbrücke" in the background.
It would be great, if you are creative. Maybe you can "build" a bridge... To build the bridge, it is possible to use things that you find in the near of the coords or things that you have with you.
If you are "fit as a fiddle", it is also possible, to make a "human bridge" by yourself or with your friends.
To "build a bridge"is a voluntary task and no condition to log this cache.
If there is an event at the coords, take your photo at a place in near of the coords.
Add this picture to your log or send me the picture by mail.
Logs without the answer-mail or without a photo, that shows the "Göltzschtalbrücke" in the background, will be deleted.
