DCR Boys: I spent the day doing maintenance on a bunch of caches today. As most caches in this series are in the woods and not that easy to get around in anymore, I am slowly archiving the series as I remove containers if I can even get to them and find them.

This one was still there, but it was now at the tippy top of the tree at only 7' off the ground. the top was chopped right off by derecho 2020.

Most of the people that did this series spent the time to write great logs. So thank you for sharing your experiences. My favorite log for this cache was written by the Weasel. This cache placement was made with him in mind. And his height restrictions. I'm glad he recognized my commitment to making it hard on him.

Geocache Description:

Chain Reaction #11 – Atom

This 11^th stage brings you to Chain-O-Lakes Wildlife Area near the Wickiup Hill Outdoor Learning Center. Like with many in this series, this will require a decent hike over a mowed trail and possibly some bush whacking near the GZ could be required depending on the approach and time of year.

This area is open to hunting, so use caution and be courteous to others if seasons are open. I would not recommend searching for this cache between September 1st through the 5th as this location is close to a very popular place to hunt doves which opens on the 1st of September annually. It usually calms down within a few days. But if it is a good year, it could linger for multiple days after the opener.

This cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. The coordinates to this container can be recovered from inside the container from Chain Reaction #10 – Neutrons.
