This puzzle cache is part of a series of caches that when viewed on a map creates a
Geo Art image of a Kayak Paddle.
The final locations for these puzzles (with the exception of this first one) are along the shoreline of Kincaid Lake and may only be reached by boat. Coordinates for the boat launch may be found as a waypoint on the cache page for the first cache in the series, Geo Art: Kayak Paddle - #01. You may click the following link for a bookmark list of all of the Geo Art: Kayak Paddle caches.
The Kincaid Lake State Park website details what types of boats they rent and when, if you do not have your own.
Each cache (including this one!) is named after an animal we observed while placing the caches.
This is the only one of the caches that is not on the lake. I suggest that you visit this cache first before you go after the rest of the geo art on the lake.
This cache has been placed with permission of the Kentucky State Parks (permit #18101KLSP).
A huge thanks to cache_n_out who prepared all the containers and helped with placing the caches!
If the kayak was first used by the indigenous Aleut, Inuit, Yupik, and possibly Ainu hunters, then the cache is located at:
N 38° 43.384 W 84° 16.989
If the kayak was first used by Folboter JAF, then the cache is located at:
N 39° 01.569 W 84° 08.087
Congratulations to cache_n_out on his milestone 8,000th find!
