Geocache Description:

This is the second of what will be a four-cache series: “All For One!” The first three caches will be named for each of our three team members:

D’Artagnia’s Nightmare (GC7M62J)

Aramiss’ Aquamania (GC7T3CB)

Porthos’ ... (unpublished)

Each will also contain a clue which will provide part of the solution to the fourth (Mystery) cache.

The clue from this cache:

Attached to the lid of this cache is a logo. (There are some cache identification stickers as well which aren’t clues.) Make a note of what is pictured on the logo as well as the two words beneath the image for later use.

Aramiss loves swimming. Porthos loves the water as well-- but prefers to be on it (sailing) or under it (scuba), not necessarily in it. Not so Aramiss, who pines away if she doesn’t get a regular plunge. She swam competitively in school, and now teaches swimming for a living. This cache reflects that love.

Cache is an ammo can placed at the edge of a large pullout used as parking for a swimming hole known to some as the "Devil’s Elbow" or "The Gorge." Some other locals called it what sounded like "Tagmeyers"(?).

Past the pullout, a roughly 1/2 mile trail crosses what we've been told is Hoopa Reservation property. Although the trail is well-established and has some improvements such as railings, as of publication there aren’t any posted signs either encouraging or prohibiting usage. The “beach” below consists of gravelly crevices between boulders. The relative isolation encourages some swimmers to umm... shall we say “minimize their tan lines?” River conditions are variable and frequently dangerous so proceed past the parking area at your own risk. But there is no need to hazard potential trespass, drowning or seared retinas to grab the cache!
