Questi caches sono stati creati con lo scopo di farvi conoscere un po' il mondo dei funghi, la mia grande passione. I nascondigli non si trovano in luoghi particolarmente interessanti, ma sono posizionati vicino a boschi conosciuti per la presenza di funghi. Chiaramente un vero Fungiatt non vi dirà mai dove e sotto quale albero guardare, ma, se siete fortunati, vi indicherà una zona dalla quale potete partire per scoprire il bosco. These geocaches were created with the aim of introducing you to the world of mushrooms, my great passion. The hiding places are not in particularly interesting places, but are located near woods known for the presence of mushrooms. La ricerca di funghi è un hobby molto bello e comune. Assomiglia molto al Geocaching, mi dico sempre, e a una caccia al tesoro, anche se il posto esatto della crescita di un fungo non viene indicato su una cartina e non si trova con il GPS. Questa mia grande passione mi permette di stare all'aria aperta e nella natura, di camminare in montagna e ritrovarmi spesso nel silenzio assoluto, dove posso pensare o semplicemente liberare la mente e tuffarmi nel piacere della ricerca del fungo perfetto. Il momento del ritrovamento è una cosa indescrivibile: bisogna provare per capirlo, anche se non a tutti fa lo stesso effetto.
Chi decide di iniziare con questo hobby deve però sapere che bisogna rispettare delle regole precise. Le principali che valgono per il Ticino sono riportate di seguito:
- Si possono raccogliere 3 kg di funghi al giorno per persona dalle 7:00 alle 20:00
- È vietato raccogliere funghi in gruppi organizzati e a scopo di lucro
- È proibito usare rastrelli o palette che potrebbero danneggiare l'ambiente e i miceti
- È vietato distruggere i funghi che non si raccolgono: bisogna rispettare il bosco e il suo ecosistema

Mushrooms hunting is a very nice and common hobby, It's a bit like Geocaching and it looks like a treasure hunt, even if the exact place of the growth of a mushroom is not indicated on a map and cannot be found with a GPS. This is one of my great passions! It allows me to stay outdoors, to walk in the mountains and often to have absolute silence around me, great moments to think or just free my mind and dive with all the pleasure in the search of the perfect mushroom. The moment of the discovery is an indescribable thing: you have to try to understand it.
Those who decide to start with this hobby, however, must know that there are rules to be respected. Some rules that apply to Ticino are listed below:
- You can collect 3 kg of mushrooms per day per person from 7 am to 8 pm
- Mushrooms picking in organised, profit-making groups is prohibited
- It is forbidden to use rakes or pallets that could damage the environment and the mushrooms
- It is forbidden to destroy mushrooms that are not harvested: the forest and its ecosystem must be respected
