NUDGE - Search & Find
A CO (cache owner) has some control on certain things that go into creating their cache page.
Always a good place to start to solve a puzzle is to read the description on the cache page and be on the look out for things you don't expect to find on the page.
BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR HINTS TO THE PUZZLE.
Places on the webpage (in order from top to bottom) and other place to hide information:
* A. TITLE
It may be as obvious as in this puzzle OR it could be words that give you a hint as to what type of puzzle it is.
* B. A CACHE BY
Most of the time you look here, you will just see the person's name that placed the cache, but it can be changed.
* C. DATE HIDDEN
The date hidden does have to be in date format, so no words. It could be a date from the past where something happened that relates to the puzzle. In this puzzle, we will use it in the description to get one of your numbers.
* D. IMAGE GALLERY
Look after cache description, before the logs.
* E. SOURCE CODE
Click HERE for information about source code and go down to NUDGE. Then remember to come back to this puzzle's webpage before going to source code.
* F. WHITE SPACE
Click HERE for information about white space and go down to NUDGE. Then remember to come back to this puzzle's webpage before looking for white space.
* G. PROFILE PAGE
On the cache page, click on the purple after 'a cache by'. It will take you to the CO's profile page.
* H. ID #
All cachers are assigned a unique number in the geocaching.com database.
1. Go to the CO's profile page. (See 'G. Profile Page' above')
2. Then click on 'See the Forum Posts For This User', which is on right side under 'Last Visit'.
3. Then at the top, you will see the webpage address. The ID number is after /profile/.
The nudge for H is for a PC computer. If you are using an Apple, please do a search on google.
* I. ADDITIONAL HINTS
For all types of caches, it is located under the cache description.
OTHER PLACES TO LOOK FOR HIDDEN ITEMS:
1. RELATED WEB PAGE - top of page, in blue, under difficulty/terrain.
When you click this link it goes to another webpage that can give you clues to your puzzles. It can NO longer be added to a webpage when the cache is being published, but you should always look to see (on an older cache) if there is one.
2. POSTED COORDINATES
Looking at the posted coords may not be anything, but they just may give you a hint. Look at them on Google Earth (or a similar program) in street view and aerial view to see if it may show you something from the location. (Example: a playground may be named for someone the puzzle wants you to check out.)
3. BACKGROUND
Should be able to see on the webpage. If not, see 'E. Source Code'.
Beyond A NUDGE
1. * (asterik) in front of a number in the NUDGE, is where you can find your numbers for this puzzle.
2. Note on H that you have to add the first two numbers.
