Geocache Description:

The Alien Artifact series is designed to highlight the significant alien activity in the Greater Dandenong area during the Mid-twentieth century. Most people living in the area are unaware of the relics and history which is just on their doorstep. At each cache you will need to collect the clue to decipher the coordinates for the final "Aerials":

Alien Artifacts 1 - Beacons
Alien Artifacts 2 - Annihilation
Alien Artifacts 3 - Water
Alien Artifacts 4 - Area 51
Alien Artifacts 5 - Oxygen
Alien Artifacts 6 - Glass
Alien Artifacts Final - Aerials

Good luck and be careful out there - scientists haven't been able to determine if the alien activity has completely ceased.......

Area 51:

All of the alien artifacts that have been collected by the Government over the past 70 years have been stored in a secret facility in Greater Dandenong. Under the guise of a service reservoir facility, local residents have no idea what is sitting under their noses. Originally designed to hold 2 round UFOs in secret, the highly classified walls now hide a wide variety of alien artifacts such as skeletons, weapons, teleportation devices and various armoury items.
A long time before Eastlink was built, trucks used to transport the artifacts along Police Road, enter through a locked gate near the M1 Princes Highway and head south-east down through the grasslands (that run alongside the M1) until they arrived at Area 51. This was done in secrecy in the middle of the night to avoid questions from the public - in fact the Police would blockade the roads to allow the trucks clear passage which is why it is now known as "Police Rd".

Near the gate at Police Rd the truck drivers would collect the key to get into Area 51, and the key is still there today (thanks to the Greater Dandenong Alien Historical Society for preserving this item).

The cache:

At the posted coordinates you will be standing in front of the 2 huge storage facilities - for a better view you can drive a bit further down the road (please respect the neigbours - no need to spend long here). On a blue sign on the driveway you will read "Melbourne Water Service Reservoir XYZ" where X and Y are letters and Z is a number.

Convert X into its number (A=1, B=2 etc). Let this number be ST
Convert Y into its number (A=1, B=2 etc). Let this number be VW

The key is located at:
South 37 56.(S)(W+V)(T)
East 145 11.(Z+T)(T-S-V)(S+T+V)

Find the key and you will find the cache very close to it. You are looking for a micro bison tube. Please return the cache exactly as you found it.

Best parking for GZ is inidcated by the listed waypoint.
