Please note: This area was well maintained pre-COVID but the grass is now pretty long (knee high) in places. It is okay, but please come prepared (I wore my gum boots for leg protection).
The Alien Artifact series is designed to highlight the significant alien activity in the Greater Dandenong area during the Mid-twentieth century. Most people living in the area are unaware of the relics and history which is just on their doorstep. This is the final of the series - to find the final location you will need to have collected all the clues from the 6 multi-caches and understood their meaning. Good luck and be careful out there - scientists haven't been able to determine if the alien activity has completely ceased.......

The Aerials
All of the alien activity that occurred in these areas decades ago would not have been possible if it had not been for their supreme ability to transmit communications to galaxies far, far away. The aerials you see before you are testament to their advanced technology, and are still in place today thanks to the Greater Dandenong Alien Historical Society. The cross-section of the towers are in the shape of the alien number for "7" - which is also a symbol of strength in alien culture. The aliens who operated the aerials were bred specifically for the role - they needed to be small so they could climb the massive towers. Because of the importance of these aliens, they were honoured by being buried in the nearby wetlands which have been sculptured into a beautiful mausoleum (look at satellite images of the area to appreciate the artistry of the aliens). Many people wonder what the purpose of crop circles in the USA is, but most historians in the alien field know that these birds-eye artworks are to honour the fallen.
To keep the location of the burial site secret, 3 markers were set up that only the aliens can read. These markers are typically wooden posts and tell the aliens where to go next. The first marker was discovered by the Greater Dandenong Alien Historical Society (at the coordinates S37° 56.087 E145° 12.987) but they will not allow anyone to see it. However an insider to the GDAHS has taken some notes as to what the symbols on the marker look like (photo below).

Unfortunately, Historians have been unable to locate the other 2 markers or the burial site, but they do know that all the marker locations have the same degrees and minutes (just the decimal minutes change). The whole mausoleum is protected all around by waterways, and the only access point is located at S 37° 56.130 E 145° 13.097 (listed as a waypoint).
The cache:
Find the burial site and you will find the final cache. You will need to enter the mausoleum at the waypoint - in summer you can cross with dry feet but in winter (especially after rain) you might want to bring some gum boots. Make sure you take your symbol codes with you......
Please replace the camo and make sure the container is well hidden before you leave.
