This series is borne of a son's desire to make his father proud. Dad's making quite a name for himself in the hardcore caching community of our nation's capital. I can only dream of attaining the same notoriety here. But I'm working on it.
This cache will bring you to one of Whistler's smaller lakes. As there isn't really a beach style park here, this lake is most frequented by anglers and standup paddlers. The gorgeous building at the south end of the lake is Nita Lake Lodge. At GZ if you look to the north, high on the hill is Chateau Du Lac. When it was finished and put on the market, it fetched the highest price for a piece of real estate at that time.
The closest option for parking is actually on the other side of the highway, at the Creekside skier lot. After parking there, look for the paved pedestrian path leaving from the north end of the lot. This path will take you under the highway, straight to the lake.
Another option is parking at Alpha Lake Park and taking the Valley Trail north.
