BERGSEEN IN DER STEIERMARK

Diese Serie soll euch einige steirische Bergseen näherbringen. Bergseen sind wie Juwelen in der Landschaft, wunderschön, glitzernd und dienen nicht zuletzt zur Erfrischung für den müden Wanderer.
The intention of this series is to present some Styrian mountain lakes. Mountain lakes are like natural gems, outstanding, sparkling and also serve to refresh the tired hikers.
TUBAYSEE

Der Tubaysee liegt südwestlich des Hochschwunggipfels (2196m) in den Rottenmanner und Wölzer Tauern. Der See ist über einen eher spärlich markierten Wanderweg in ca. 2 Stunden bei gemütlichem Tempo vom Parkplatz Tubay im Bretsteingraben aus erreichbar - einfache Strecke: ca. 6km/600hm. Und ein kleines Gipfelkreuz bei einem See findet man auch nicht alle Tage!
The Tubaysee is located southwest of Hochschwung summit (2196m) in the Rottenmanner and Wölzer Tauern. A hiking path takes you from the parking area Tubay in Bretsteingraben within approx. 2 hours to the cache at the mountain lake - one way distance: approx. 6km/600m ascend. Watch out for the small cross on a rock near the lake!

Zufahrt: Von Wien/ Graz kommende über die A9, weiter auf die Murtal-Schnellstraße S36 nach Judenburg. In Rothenturm rechts Richtung Pöls und weiter bis Möderbrugg. In Möderbrugg links abbiegen nach Bretstein und dem Bretsteingraben folgen, bis man den kleinen Parkplatz bei der Infotafel Tubay erreicht.

Access: Comming from Vienna/Graz, follow the A9 and S36 to Judenburg and further on to Rothenturm. Turn right after Rothenturm to head for Pöls and Möderbrugg. In Möderbrugg turn left to Bretstein and keep going until you reach the small parking area Tubay near the info board.
