Geocache Description:

If you did my Adventure Lab series first (Henley Trail) that's great - this is the Bonus Cache. But I had to move the cache location because of the renovations here - so the numbers you collected are useless. Sorry - but that's life in the Caching world.  Those co-ordinates will bring you to this little area near the cache. Actual GZ is in the hint. It's very near the fence but you might have to jump over it

Busy muggle area.  Please be mindful of inquisitive onlookers - just pretend you're looking for lizards - I get away with that 😊

The Henley Surf Life Saving Club was the first in South Australia, formed in 1925. The current building began as a small tin shed and has been growing as the membership of this club has grown.
If caught in dangerous rips or strong currents which are not always visible the Life saving club can provide assistance.
Volunteers patrol the beach and train at various times of the week.

Saturday mornings in Summer you will see many groups of Little Nippers, all in different team colours, running around on the beach and into the sea and becoming familiar with the nature of the sea.

Members do training on boards and in boats to attain a Life Saver qualification so they can do Beach Patrols.

If you go in for a swim while the Life Savers are on duty, stay in between the yellow flags and they will help you if you get into difficulties by getting too tired or drifting too far out to swim back. Raise an arm and they will be there. 😊

*** August 2024 : This club has just been voted as the best Surf Life Saving Club in Australia! How good is that 👍
