Geocache Description:

"Provy" the local name given to the lane from here to Haworth, "Published" on behalf of Frank.

The cache is not at the posted coordinates, we've had a number of containers go missing so I've moved it a few strides away. To get the coordinates you need some info from the plaque.

A=No of letters in his first name

B=1st No from day of birth

C=2nd No from day he passed

D=No of letters in his full name minus the day of his birth

You'll find the cache at N53 AD CBC, W001 AC BAC

You'll need a pen

Frank Wigglesworth, of Bridge Street, Oakworth, lived in the house next-door to the one where he was born for most of his life. A keen and active member of village life, spending around 13 years as Oakworth village correspondent for the Keighley News. Founder and life member of the village society, member of the Old People's Welfare group and a member of the Christ Church choir, although he was probably better known among the younger generation with a white beard and red cape at Christmas when he would step out as Santa Claus. Before his retirement in 1975 Frank was the caretaker at Keighley library, a post he held for 19 years. In 1992 he published a book called Oakworth in my Time, which depicted village life through the years, and was also known for his talks and demonstrations of the traditional Yorkshire dialect. In 1997 Frank's interest and commitment was recognised when he received Maundy Money from the Queen at Bradford Cathedral.

A new addition to our series of caches set along a route we use when walking from Oakworth to Haworth. They can be done as individual drive-bys, as a circular / figure of 8 walk or you could pick them up on your way to Haworth and get the train back. The full route was just over 3 miles but if you include this it will be closer to 4.

Please be careful to make sure it's put back as found and avoid drawing attention whilst retrieving as you are well exposed and this is the 6th container (in a different location), this one's a bit different. The cache is easily accessible from the footpath.
