Geocache Description:

Information about Physical Cache:

  • park and grab, not so glamorous a location
  • gateway to The Great Salt Lake State Park
  • very unusual historic Saltair building at cache location
  • cache on roadside shoulder ...keep kids, dogs and errant grandma in safe location while you grab and replace cache
  • easiest way to grab and replace is from BACK of hiding location (I placed it by reaching OVER and IN)

  • We the People .....

.....of geocaching.com, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Caches, insure Finds, provide for the common Enjoyment, promote the general Welfare and secure the Blessings of Smiles to ourselves and our Cache Owners, do Accept and Fulfill this Challenge13 for the expansion of Numbers Found.

    • To wit, we individually understand
    • ... the hide is a Physical Cache container at the Posted Coordinates.
    • ... at the time you find the cache, pen your john-hancock on the Log
    • ... if Challenge requirements are not yet met you may Log on-line as a NOTE on the date signed
    • ...when all Challenge requirements are met a new FOUND IT log of "proof" will be posted ON or AFTER date of Challenge Met

    CHALLENGE:

log as FOUND a Required Minimum Number of caches in at least 13 US states /or 12 states and wildcard Washington DC.

    TWIST:

minimum FOUND caches in each State must be AT LEAST equivalent to the order each specific state was ratified or admitted to the Union. The District of Columbia was formed after the first 13 colonies were ratified. As a "wildcard" it is assigned a value of "1" for the purpose of this challenge. DC is NOT a state.

The Difficulty rating of the cache reflects the "difficulty" of meeting the Challenge.  At a minimum to meet the challenge you will have logged a total of 79 caches NOT INCLUDING this one.  By comparison, west-coast caching would necessitate 233 finds for the six states of California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Nevada and Idaho .... and 99 just for Hawaii and Alaska.

    PROVIDED REFERENCE ITEMS:

    (1) A checker for your convenience in determining your qualification status. It is not necessary to list the caches in your log ... but you may if that is what you want to log.
