Geocache Description:

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES.

This geoart series takes you on the Mesa del Sol Trail System. The Perspectives Trail starts and ends at the Aperture Center Trailhead. The entire loop is around 3¼ to 3⅓ miles and without shade or cover from storms, so plan accordingly.

I considered making this geo-art series into a large letter “Q” based on one of Albuquerque’s nicknames and seen on the nearby Albuquerque studios. Still I will make use of Albuquerque and New Mexico history questions to determine the actual location's coordinates.

La Villa de Alburquerque was founded in 1706 as an outpost on the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, linking Mexico City to San Juan Pueblo (now Ohkay Owingeh) along the Rio Grande near Española.

Tiwa Puebloan people predated Spanish government settling of the area by many generations.

What local Hispano community predated, at least on paper and as a river-crossing, the Spanish government's settling of the area now known as Old Town?
