A defining part of the appeal of large cities is the specialization enabled by the catchment population of some unusual businesses and land uses. Some more unusual or specialist shops might only exist with a large population to draw on, which explains why some of the more exotic shops are not found in smaller cities. (Though internet shopping is certainly influencing this, with specialization able to spread beyond large cities if the firms are focussed on e-commerce.)
The cache is located in a huge cosmetics industry market which also hosts an annual cosmetics trade show. It's accessible even at times the mall is closed.
The scale of the market and the degree of specialization (e.g. there are dozens of shops just selling hair care equipment) is interesting to check out. The market is generally oriented to wholesale and export, but they also serve retail customers.
Though it initially looks like one single market, the market actually consists of around 25 separate buildings which were joined together by a covered structure in 2007. There is still an internal street network - now pedestrian only - between the buildings and within the sprawling covered area.
