The cache is in the vicinity of "Creek Falls", a waterfall and
swimming hole located in an area the locals call "Crick Hills". The
easiest way to get to Creek Falls and the cache is to follow an
unmarked gravel road along Jacobs Creek from the Chaintown bridge
which is about 4 miles west of Scottdale, Pennsylvania. I am unable
to provide driving directions as it the norm for me to get lost
each and every time I go there. Currently, ordinary passenger cars
can drive for about 0.7 miles on the aforementioned gravel road to
a gate for a rifle range. Park at the gate and hoof it from there.
The road beyond this point is the domain of off-road vehicles and
pedestrians with very muddy feet. Have Fun!
WARNING: Expect to get a little wet. It will be necessary to
cross the creek to get to the cache. There is a ford about halfway
down the jeep trail where the water will normally be less than a
foot deep. Do not attempt to cross if the water is high. It might
be possible to avoid the water and mud by walking the railroad and
crossing on the trestles but this is trespassing and could be very
dangerous. Don’t do it!
