QT.Coon's Pirate 2ND Mate Prickly Revenge
My daughter and QT.Coon wanted to create some fantastic Pirate themed caches for all children and adults to enjoy.
If this is your FIRST time Geocaching, please make sure you read the GEOCACHING 101 RULES.
We created a cache, which is a small camouflage "Lock-n-lock" cache container with a pear karabiner. We made it this way to be more child friendly but also have some space for tradeables. You can OPEN the cache without removing it from the tree to make it easier.Â
At Ground Zero (GZ), you will be faced with locating the cache!Â
Can you find the Pirate 2ND Mate Prickly Revenge geocache?
You will appreciate quickly the reason why this is called a "Revenge" hide considering that looking for a geocache in pine trees are sometimes challenging especially when they are smaller then this hide.
This is a great cache for parents to take their kids out which we hope will not only give them some wonderful memories, it may also help get them in the spirit of Geocaching. Make it a wonderful afternoon adventure and locate all of QT.Coonâs Pirate Geocache Hides using this LIST finishing at a playground!
Watch for muggles! This is an extremely busy walkway. Get to the cache, sign the log and put the cache back without anyone seeing you!Â

Please bring a pen to sign log book. There is a LITTLE SPACE for tradeables in this cache.

The Story of QT.Coon's Pirate 2ND Mate Prickly Revenge

A long, long time ago, when Newmarket was very young and just starting, pirates made their way through this area and stopped to take a rest.
They brought their whole crew including the cook! Well, the captain and his FIRST and SECOND mate were in charge of all the pirates. The pirates were bad and stealing from the towns people of Newmarket. When the town people finally worked together they attacked the pirates. The FIRST and SECOND mate hid some things in this area. Can you find them? Be careful because itâs a bit prickly!
When the pirates scattered, they left some things behind, including a treasure chest, diamonds the cooks barrel and event a cannon! There was even a stow away on the ship! Keep searching for more of QT.Coonâs Geocaches and find these items in the area: Â
