GIFF 2023 souvenir weekend will be from November 09 - November 19, 2023.
Join us at the "ZICCER - Trollfoci Sport Pub" -1073 Budapest, VII. Erzsébet krt. 48. - separate event room - on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM (18:30-21:30)

From the pub entrance, go to straight to the back room past the counter and turn left at the end, there you will find the function event room!
A söröző bejáratán belépve menj egyenest hátra a pult elött elhaladva a hátsó helyiségek felé és a pult végénél fordulj balra, ahol majd ott megtalálod a különtermet!
Doors Open: 06:30 PM, (18:30 óra)
Event sign in starts: 06:45 PM, (18:45 óra)
Film Starts: 🎥 ( ~16 minute non-final films + 66 minute finalist film run time): 07:22 PM, (19:22 óra)
End the movie: 08:00 PM, (20:00 óra)
Any post GIFF discussions and clean up & Voting: 08:00 PM to 08:15 PM, (20:00 - 20:15 óra)
Group photos: 08:15 PM, (20:15 óra) ... and finally event: 09:30 PM, (21:30 óra)
Participation in the event is free for everyone!

Admission and participation in the event is only possible by presenting a valid movie ticket (... patience, this will also be visible soon...)!
A rendezvényen való belépés és részvétel csak érvényes mozijegy ( ... türelem, hamarosan ez is látható lesz ...) felmutatásával lehetséges!
Before and after, there is still time for coffee, cake, a meal or a few beers so that we can chat or let's exchange opinions about the GIFF'23movies we've seen.
Előtte-utána még marad idő egy kávéra, süteményre vagy egy vacsorára netán néhány sörre, hogy elbeszélgessünk, illetve véleményt cseréljünk a látott GIFF'23 kisfilmekről.
The event officially ends at (09:30PM) 21:30 with the announcement of the title and creator of the local winning short film based on your votes!
Az esemény hivatalosan 21:30 órakor ér véget a szavazataitok alapján a helyi győztes kisfilm címének és alkotójának kihirdetésével!
History:
The Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) began in 2013 and was a part of the Geocaching Block Party 2013 held at Geocaching HQ, in Seattle. The finalist films were screened in a park near HQ and it was a huge success.
So, there was another GIFF in 2014 with the same format. The finalist films were shown again in the park near HQ during the Geocaching Block Party 2014.
Well, in 2015, all of the finalist films were ready to go but it was pouring down rain, like it sometimes does here in Seattle. The GIFF team decided on a fabulous alternative plan. They cancelled GIFF in the park and instead, they allowed geocachers across the world to host GIFF Events to show the film reel in their own communities. The community loved it and this has been the format ever since.

This will be the tenth anniversary international event of the GIFF since its inception, which is in line the seventh event in Budapest:
