Join us at greenfield lake park for a post-fools CITO! All resources (gloves, bags, and grabbers) will be provided. Please bring trackables for trading or discovery.
We will be here probably around 2:30 so feel free to come a little early! This area needs a good CITO.
Some GFL history
This area has a very interesting history that many do not know about. Greenfield used to have a showboat that made rounds around the lake each night. It also used to be an avid swimming destination, with multiple docks. Greenfield used to feature an amusement park on the lake, in addition to a zoo. Unfortunately all of these amenities have been shut down and the area was granted to the city of Wilmington. Soon after alligators moved into the lake. Neighborhoods were built around lakeshore drive and the area became a public park. There is a big homeless issue in the area, contributing to a litter crisis. We have visited the area numerous times and we know it needs a CITO. Homebase will be at some benches on the boardwalk near the kayak, canoe, and paddle boat rental area
