Yahtuul is a rarely-seen
bioluminescent subterranean creature with pasty whitish skin
and clawed feet who occasionally feeds on unwary litterers.
He has therefore recently moved his lair to its current
location, in order to stay close to his food source. When
he's not sucking the juicy marrow from the snapped femurs of
the inconsiderate, Yahtuul enjoys an occasional book.
However, he is always seeking out new and different reading
material. Feel free to pay him a visit, and peruse his
collection.
So yes, this is a book cache. Yahtuul doesn't have any
kid's books at the moment; he was on a bit of a sci-fi kick as of
this initial post. The cache is an ordinary ammo can, so keep that
in mind as far as possible book sizes. I was going to make this a
lot harder to find, but I settled on this location because I
think it's a cool area. It should be pretty easy to get to and to
find. Please re-hide it thoroughly and remain inconspicuous during
the search - this area can get a lot of traffic in the summer.

Sometimes in the winter, they close the gate to the parking area.
They do that mainly to keep out degenerates and to avoid having to
plow it. People still come by to walk their dogs - they just park
by the gate instead.
