Malaysian Geocaching

Geocaching is a real world, outdoor treasure hunting game. It begun with the availability of Global Positioning System (GPS) to the public on Blue Switch Day ( 2nd May 2000). The very next day, The first cache was put up at Beavercreek, Oregon.by Dave Ulmer. The coordinate is post on the net and three day latter, it was found by Mike Teague. The cache has long been gone. It was replaced with GCGV0P Original Stash Tribute.

Geocaching arrive in Malaysia in 2001. The first ever cache put up in Malaysia were GC866 Camerons Folly by Alex on 23rd April 2001. It has 49 various logs through out it life. Nonetheles, it was archived on 7th March 2010 by the owner. A tribute mystery cache was created for this oldest cache. Through GCA8KP2 Camerons Folly 2.0, geocacher could visit the coordinate for the oldest cache in Malaysia. Since that date, Malaysia currently has 2177 cache of various type archived or not.

The Challange

Geocaching has been presence in Malaysia for 24 year. In conjunction with 25 year of geocaching, This challenge was created. The physical cache is at posted coordinate. Any geocacher can log the log sheet in the cache at anytime. To log the cache in the official Geocaching page or apps, you need to completed the following challanges:

• You must have found 24 cache in Malaysia
• The cache you found must include Traditional, Mystery, Multi-Cache, Wherigo, Letterbox Hybrid, Virtual and EarthCache type of cache
