A few of my favorite things: STRUDEL
I'm still trying to find a strudel bakery or good German restaurant in Fort Wayne. There are many Amish bakeries in the area, so since we have shared heritage, I selected one of these. Honey might have been the original sweetener in strudel, so look for a place where honey bees might hang out. This is a largish container that is hanging. It has plenty of space into which I put a garden of swag. The first time finder prize is labeled "FTF" and contains just a little bit more than the other tiny boxes. Take one of the flowers in a box if you would like one (starting inventory: 10)
My first cache series, MY FAVORITE THINGS, fell together quite nicely in Fort Wayne (a wonderful Geocaching town), and it is in honor of my Dad, whose LP's of famous musicals delighted me as a child. The "Sound of Music" is also the first live performance to which he treated our family. And of course, it allowed me to include kittens!
Caches in this series:
Whiskers on Kittens
Copper Kettles
Woolen Mittens
Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String
Crisp Apple Strudels
Girls in White Dresses (in review; a Poltergeist stole the first one!)
Schnitzel with Noodles
Admin Notes:
Our caches are placed within a wide triangle of where we live (IN), work (MI), and play (IN, MI, and IL), and we'll visit often to maintain them. I realize bead bags can be a pain to open. Please don't stress, just do your best in the time you have, and I'll replace any damaged bags. Please have a pen handy, and please notify me if the cache needs immediate maintenance.
All of my caches have convenient parking; so far, only one requires a short walk from the parking lot, down a grassy hill. If someone in your party needs to stay in the vehicle, and there are open parking spaces nearby, they can see the location while sitting and watching the fun.
