This cache is designed to challenge the
geocacher’s map reading abilities. During your quest for the final
cache point you will have used at least 2 gallons of gas, taken up
2 afternoons, and used up a bottle of skeeter juice. Hence the
name, Sam’s Ball-Breaker!
There are 5 points total in this multi-cache. Points 1 and 2 are
standard micro caches in 35mm film canisters.
You must utilize a map to find the location for point 3. Point 3 is
a cache-less point in the middle of a field that is merely the
starting location to find Point 4. When you search for Point 4 it
must be at dusk or later. Keep in mind that the location for Point
4 closes at 10pm.
Once you have located Point 3, you must face 336’ magnetic and
look for the trail head. The trail is marked with silver reflectors
which will be very apparent with a flashlight. Follow the
reflectors to Point 4. Point 4 will be marked with 3 reflectors. If
you see 2 reflectors on a tree then you are getting close to Point
4. Be sure to bring mosquito repellent on this leg of the course.
Point 4 is a standard 35mm film canister.
The final coordinates for Point 5 are in code, which you must
figure out. The Final Point is an ammo can. Don’t forget to bring a
notebook and skeeter juice! Also, it might be a good idea to print
this cache page for future reference.
