The Hunt for Red October : Part 5 - The End Game Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Pharisee: On a regular maintenance visit I discovered that 'improvements' made by the land managers have made this cache untenable. As it wasn't the most popular of caches having not been found for almost a year, I've decided to archive this cache and all but one of the first four parts as well. My thanks to all who've made the trip and my commiserations to those that will now never get the chance.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The last in a series of 5 caches. Each of the first four contain a piece of information or clue that you will need in order to locate the final cache. You will need to have found all of the first four caches before you start the hunt for the fifth and final part.

Allow a couple of hours and be prepared for a walk of approximately two and a half miles. The terrain is not difficult but it is 'undulating' and not ideally suited to baby buggies. It will be muddy and slippery in places if there has been recent rain so take extra care. This cache is NOT recommended for unfit, grumpy old men or their Dads.

The difficulty rating is high because of all the work you've had to do to get this far and all the work you're going to have to do to complete the hunt. You will be required to find a number of micro-caches before finding the final cache. All have been hidden in places that you may expect to find a micro-cache. They are not in plain view and may be covered but if so, they will be covered in an acceptable and usual way. Just hang in there and search systematically. As a last resort, the encrypted hints will tell you where they are hidden. If you still get stuck, you can email me via my profile on the www.geocaching.com web site or call the Pharisee Help Line, if you know the number.
If you don't want to keep the clues as a souvenir (or as a set of novelty place mats), rather than just throwing them away, you could leave them in the cache box if you find it and I'll 'recycle' them.

The other caches in this series are :-
Part 1 : GCHVJ4 - Studham Common
Part 2 : CGHW8F - Motte & Bailey
Part 3 : GCHY7K - Wimpole Folly
Part 4 : GCJ1ZP - The Mill

Please don't leave food stuff or sharp, pointy things in the cache.

If you enjoyed this cache, or even if you didn't, please consider logging on to GeocacheUK and giving it a rating.
