Update: As this cache has now been stolen on two occasions, I have changed it to a micro and altered its location slightly.
One of a new series of caches along the Water of Leith. Thanks to Haggis Hunter and Roolku for the organisation of these new caches. There will be over 20 caches at regular intervals along the 12 mile walk.
This one lies between Stedfastgate, a former train station, and the mouth of the river as it exits into Leith Docks. Nearby Victoria Park was split in two by a railway cutting 30 odd years ago. This part of the Water of Leith walkway is a former railway line and the evidence of it remains. The cache is hidden at a disused railway platform. It is a very small plastic container (9.5cm x 7.5cm) so swaps will need to be small.
The walkway can be very busy with dog walkers, cyclists, joggers and even roller bladers, so ensure that you wait for a quiet moment! Please make sure that the cache is not visible from the path. GPS reception can be poor too, but the clue should ensure that you find it.
