Lennox is the highest summit in the region of front range peaks
directly east of Seattle. The mountain can be seen from Seattle but
it sits back a bit and is "obscured" (eyes drawn away) by the more
interesting looking Mt. Phelps to the left (north).
Lennox Mountain resides in the west end of the Alpine Lakes
Wilderness. It is located nine miles SSE of higher Mt. Index and 16
miles north of Snoqualmie Pass.

After doing MarcusArelius and Son's
A Drive In The Woods #1 - Dead End I did a little exploring
further up the road. Like Marcus, I like long drives on old logging
roads.
It will be a 25 mile drive off the highway, 20 of them on gravel
logging roads. At least at the time the cache was placed any car
with five good tires should be able to make the trip.
Park at N 47 40.464 W 121 30.461. Follow the jeep trail about
700 feet to the cache. You will need to make one stream crossing
which at the time the cache was placed was so simple even I could
do it without getting wet. You are looking for a 50 cal Ammo
Box.
There is a fire ring and makeshift camp spot a short distance
beyond the cache.
NOTE: 12/17/05 Winter Advisory! 4WD recommended. Watch for
superficial erosion. The bridge at Bear Creek is unsafe and closed;
I imagine this will be fixed come spring.
