Geocache Description:

Come one, come all to the first (well the first that I've organised anyway) Leicestershire Cache bash.

NEWSFLASH

I've just realised that I've gone and double booked myself. I will not be available from 6pm. People who attend are very welcome to stay and chill into the evening.

The event is to be held at the Birch Tree Pub on Bardon Road just outside Coalville on the 18th of September. The pub itself can be found on the A511 just off Junction 22 on the M1.

If it's a nice day, we will be meeting outside the pub in the beer garden, if not we can meet inside. I will need an idea of how many people will be coming so that I can inform the management about a week before and they can organise a table for us all. The pub itself is kid friendly and while it is not dog friendly indoors, we can sort something out for those that like to bring pooches along on caching adventures.

I will be placing at least two new caches for the timed cache finding mission that I am planning. These will become live on the day of the event, so don't go looking for them beforehand :)

There are at least 30 caches within a ten mile radius with the following being the closest so there are plenty to complete if you are a numbers person (not that I am).

'Grand old duke of york'

'Mick and Bill (on the hill) are both one'

'A Scottish wedding'

'Cliff's in the woods'

'Wait Ammo'

'Charnwood Beacon (Leics)'

'Hidden Valley'

'Americana trinkets in Burgerland'

'Out of the Woods (re-sited)'

'Lady Jane Grey's cache'

There will be the opportunity to catch up with friends and meet new ones. I am also planning a raffle with at least three new UK geocoins(subject to availability) being up for grabs. If you have anything that you think will make a good prize for the raffle, send me an e-mail and I'll include it on the listing page. All of the profits will be going to charity. I'm looking forward to seeing you all on the 18th.

Oops, just had a few e-mails to remind me that I hadn't actually put a time down on the cache page. I'll be around from 2pm onwards outside if the weather is nice. You'll know me by the black clothes and long hair with a GPS sat beside me.

Update: Chris from the Starz Bars team has generously donated a ladies sports watch to the raffle (R.R.P: £195.00). If anyone else wants to offer anything for the raffle over what I can scrounge up and what team Starz-bars have offered, please get in touch with me and I'll put it on the cache page.

Prizes for the raffle

Two UK geocoins if they are available in time (if not addresses will be taken and sent out when they do become available)

Ladies Sports watch (RRP £195)
